Paulette Tomasson is a Registered nurse, a registered Clinical Counsellor and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. She is a member of the Society for the advancement of sexual health. She is an internationally known and recognized expert in both treatment and education in the field of specialized addictions and dependencies. Paulette has appeared as an expert in O.COM Cybersex Addiction, a documentary aired on CBC’s the Passionate Eye. She has also given many local and national TV, radio and newspaper interviews regarding her expertise. She is a pioneer and leading expert in the powerful and innovative field of Equine Therapy.
Currently Paulette operates a private practice in individual and group psychotherapy in West Vancouver, B.C. and provides education to professionals and the general public regarding sex addiction.
DEBI HARTWELL - MA, CCC, CET II is a Certified Canadian Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling Association and a Certified Experiential Therapist.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University (1993) and her Master of Arts degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois (2000).
She has worked as a Child and Family Therapist in a therapeutic school setting for 14 years. In private practice, she has worked extensively with adults as individuals, couples and in groups. Her area of specialty is trauma resolution whether from developmental (during your childhood) or from a critical incident.
She is also able to assess, support and guide you in recovery from co-dependency, sexual addiction, disordered eating, drug and alcohol addiction and other types of compulsive behaviours.
The healing of compulsive and addictive behaviours often involves the resolution of unresolved trauma. She utilizes an integrated form of psychotherapy that involves the body, mind and spirit. She is trained in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing).
